Here are some things people really liked about Dr. Gooden's speeches...

Dr. Gooden's speech was very insightful. First off it was an honor to
have Dr. Gooden speak and keep the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King,
Jr. alive. It is very necessary to have reflection upon Dr. King and
motivation to move forward in the movement.

There were many strengths in Dr. Gooden's speech. I like the fact that
he kept his information related to current events. He gave enough
information about from whence we came, and it seemed intended to guide
the audience towards the future rather than just a history lesson. The
war in Iraq is very relevant, and the fact that he correlated the war in Iraq qith the war in Vietnam is very notable. I really liked the fact that he gave many links to resources such as books that can help feed the mind. Reading is very important, and the fact that he recommended books meant that people were able to not just hear the message, but follow up on it also.

I thought that the speaker on M.L.K. was great. He could relate to us on our level as well as entertain the faculty that was there. He inspired me to do more than H have been doing . he was great . It was a good choice.

I feel that last week's speaker was very energized and knew his
material.  He presented to me the facts of Dr. King's life and the
things that I must do as a black american to further the dreams of
MLK.
